Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the primary goal of this event is to promote cultural exchange between Venezuela and other countries. This year, FILVEN 2024 will have South Africa and the Venezuelan state of Delta Amacuro as guests of honor.
The international fair will feature over 600 activities, including book presentations, forums, conferences and workshops, exhibitions, youth activities, and a gastronomic pavilion.
FILVEN 2024 serves as a platform for promoting national literary talent, as Venezuelan publishers showcase their latest productions.
On Thursday afternoon, visitors to the fair attended the discussion “Simón Bolívar: A Continental Inspiration for Our America.” There was also a discussion on “Iranian Politics and Society” in the Ifigenia Room.
In the Benito Yrady Room, Chinese and Venezuelan writers gathered to exchange experiences about the literature and culture of their countries.
During the days of FILVEN, the organizers have also planned presentations and special activities for children from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
